Description
This is the highest quality complete set of Canadian coins from the 5 cent to the $2 coin, all double struck with a near flawless frosted cameo proof finish.  Unlike regular issue coins, all seven coins in this 2014 Proof Set are struck in 99.99% fine silver.  The large silver dollar is also selectively layered with 24 karat gold, while the loon dollar is fully gold plated and the centre of the $2 coin is gold plated.  Denominations include the 5 cent, 10 cent, 25 cent, 50 cent, Loon Style dollar, proof dollar and 2 dollar coins. The coins are displayed in a genuine leather display book, together with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

The Silver Dollar Design:
1914 marked the beginning of the First World War.  The commemorative silver dollar depicts a couple’s emotional farewell at a train station, where the first wave of volunteers is boarding a train bound for the Valcartier camp.  The coin is a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who answered the call of duty, and of their loved ones who remained on the home front. The front of the coin features the word “Canada”, and the date 1914-2014, along with the denomination “Dollar”.
