To John Adams Armstrong who had a 25 year connection to Canadas Governor Generals Foot Guard. He was one of the most outstanding Rifle Marksman in the world and was a member of The Canada Bisley Team of 1884 1886 1889 1891 and 1892. John Adams Armstrong was a member of the Canadian team in 1889 which won the Kolapore Cup at Bisley. During the competition at Bisley he won a large silver cup presented to him by The Queen Mother, then Princess of Wales.

John Adams Armstrong was connected with the GGFG for 25 years and always took part in their shooting competitions.

This lot contains:
1.) a 15K solid gold Kolapore pin, (ribbon bar hanger),
dimensions- 1.625 x .5 inches,  weight- 4.43 grams
and
2.) a 15K solid gold Cross with the legend WIMBLEDON 1884  with a rifle Marksman in center.
Engraved on the medals reverse is the following:

Both extremely scarce items above have a total weight of 19.29 grams of solid 15K gold
