2015 $20 Fine Silver Coin – A Story of the Northern Lights: The Raven

This 2015 $20 fine silver coin from the Royal Canadian Mint is from the "A Story of the Northern Lights" series, inspired by Indigenous folklore. The reverse design by artist Nathalie Bertin features the raven, a central figure in many Indigenous stories, set against the backdrop of the aurora borealis. It's the third achromatic hologram coin the Mint has ever issued, and the first to go beyond a circular design. The hologram was produced using a patented nanotechnology-based method of producing three-dimensional non-coloured holographic elements.
