One antique yellow gold brooch of classic design acid tested at approximately 14(+) karat gold purity. The brooch consists of a backed circular frame with fitted top bezel and crystal over a hand painted miniature. The miniature depicts a lady reminiscent of Queen Marie Antoinette (3/4 frontal) in 18th century dress with floral brimmed hat. Due to the backed setting the base of the miniature cannot be determined. The edge of the brooch is post set with twelve natural seed pearls of varying colours 2.8mm to 3.2mm diameter. The brooch measures 21.5mm in diameter secured by a hinged pin and hand made trombone style catch with hinged pendant loop concealed at the top/back.
